A Parcel of Desire

“You go to war
but not to victory,”
but all roads to victory
are paths going to war;
there is no easy way:
people want peace but
the price of peace is war;
Everyone desires life,
but death is a part
and parcel of desire.

even
“With no chance
of winning and where
death is certain,”
poetic warriors
still go to battle;
O why sit
and wait If one
can fast-track the relevant
and the inevitable;
A deathbed of stool
covers compassion,
and it produces
willful unheard pleas;
Better a bloodbath
than a tub that stinks;
As in music,
“It is better to burn out
than to fade away;”

Yes, better
a fast death
than to die slowly
in misery.
